MG Select is born!
MG Select was co-founded by Karen LaRue and Erick Holliday to be a company that feels like a Family.
Throughout our experience, we saw many customers struggle and suffer unnecessarily, and we ultimately realized that to effect real change we would need to start our own company. So, we took the road of entrepreneurship to solve this very real problem affecting several hospitals and health systems today.

Founded in 2018, MG Select is a professional services company. MG Select helps healthcare organizations leverage and maximize their existing technology solutions by offering implementation, integration, data migration, system administration, education/training, vendor evaluation, and replacement services. MG Select also provides outsourcing services to software companies requiring project managers, program managers, and implementation specialists.
Meet Our Leadership
Karen LaRue
Co-Founder and Principal
Karen LaRue, Co-Founder, and Principal of MG Select, has 25+ years of experience in the Healthcare Information Technology industry. Karen’s experiences as a Senior Systems Analyst/Project Manager at a prestigious academic medical center and her leadership roles at Midas have provided her with the real world experiences, and successes necessary to lead a consulting organization focused on helping healthcare systems assess their needs and then optimize the desired results.
At University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ Karen worked with end users to identify clinical and financial needs/opportunities and the resources, processes and solutions necessary to achieve the desired outcomes. She then worked with the end users and vendors to assure a successful system selection and implementation to achieve the desired results.
As the 6th employee hired at Midas, Karen wore multiple hats and was a key contributor to the development, implementation, and support of all Midas solutions and to its substantial leadership position in the segments it addressed. Karen built and grew the following operational departments at Midas: software implementations, project management, training, quality assurance, account management, customer support and professional services; and was a major contributor to the software engineering/development and integration teams.
Karen was an extremely successful leader of 200+ operational team members at Midas because her excellent people skills, judgment, organization and time management skills, and extensive business process management experience enabled her to manage multiple, concurrent projects and deliver the results on time and cost-effectively. An advocate of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, she has led many continuous process improvement initiatives. These traits, experiences and expertise, along will a passion to make a difference in healthcare make Karen an exemplary leader and partner.
Karen resides in Southern Nevada with her husband and their three rescue dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, especially in the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, Arizona.
Lorelle Poropat,
Regional Quality Leader
Kaiser Permanente
Lorelle is the Strategic Leader and Director for Regional Quality Data Management at Kaiser Permanente. Lorelle is on MG Select's Advisory Council providing invaluable strategy and support. Lorelle has more than two decades of experience at Kaiser Permanente and has oversight in data analysis and management for 21 hospitals in Northern CA.
MG Select appreciates Lorelle's counsel and specialized capabilities in Joint Commission, CMS core measures, MIDAS, Statit, data analysis, database design and management.
Lorelle is a certified, active member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality, as well as, a Registered Health Information Administrator with Ahima. Lorelle supports the Alameda County Community Food Bank.
Lorelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix and a Masters in Science degree in Health Information Management from The College of St. Scholastica. She resides in the SF Bay Area.
Erick B. Holliday,
CEO
Holliday Health Group
Erick B. Holliday Co-Founded MG Select in 2018 and is the Chairman of the Board and Strategic Advisor. Erick brings more than two decades of experience working with healthcare leaders, decision makers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams. As a strategic and corporate account executive for most of his career, Erick understands and is empathetic to the challenges facing decision makers and end-users.
As a longtime health care learner, Erick researches and verifies several challenges affecting our healthcare industry, including, public policy, legislation, consumerism and what value-based care ultimately will look like. Erick is focused on simplifying the complexities affecting healthcare into outcomes-driven solutions and is committed to a collaborative, partnership model that helps improve the quality, safety, and experience of care for all patients and families.
In addition to MG Select, Erick also serves as Principal and CEO of Holliday Health Group, a leading strategic advisory, consulting and outsourcing organization. Previously, Erick worked in strategic roles with Conduent, Inc. (fka Xerox Health), Press Ganey, Omnicell and GE. Erick has received numerous awards for revenue growth and business development.
Erick is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. Erick is keenly interested in charitable organizations that improve health & wellness, longevity, as well as, community-based innovative programs for suicide prevention and enhanced learning.
Erick holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of California at Berkeley. He resides in Los Angeles, California. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, golf, fitness and supporting LA sports.
